Migration Review Tribunal (MRT)

Onshore Visa Applicants and many Offshore applicants with an Australian Sponsors who have been refused a visa may be eligible to apply for a complete review of that decision by the MRT.

The MRT will look at the entire application with "fresh eyes" and will determine if The Department of Immigration and Citizenship should re-assess the application or alternatively the MRT can overturn a decision made by a delegate. Their assessment will be based on the visa criteria in effect at the time the original visa application was lodged.

The current cost of a review by the MRT is AUD$1,400.00
